Imagine an older driver delivering better performance than the newer revision. The OpenGL drivers are still not as matured as I'd like it to be, and there are certainly a lot more that could be done to improve the OpenGL performance. Again you are given the choice to set the quality of the picture reproduced on your TV. It allows easy navigation and setup of your display with one click of a button.

But for now, we shall test it in its intended form.
Eventually a native OpenGL driver called "TurboGL" was released, but it was only designed to support several popular games of the time e. By shrinking the core, costs are reduced because more chips are made per wafer at the factory, and Matrox can take the time to fix earlier mistakes hesd the core, and trim or add new functionality.
Just count how many bold coloured numbers you see for each card, and you will know what I mean. Matrox tried to make stable drivers for several months but with no luck. Bthat are fully 4X compliant and run at the higher speed if the motherboard is capable as well. Mkllennium G drivers 5.

If anything, the DualHead is targeted for presentations just as much as it is for users that have a craving for more desktop space. Only a few games supported the feature, such as Dungeon Keeper 2 and Millennium Soldier: Both of these images are produced with bit rendering. The system was equipped with MB of SDRAM and different processor speeds were also used to assess the difference in speed gain with higher processor speed. Overall Rating Out of a maximum of 5 Star.
The G Max is not far behind and leads in the remaining tests.

There's also a slider to adjust the color temperature. Unfortunately, I was not able to capture any screen shots of the movies that I tested.
This meant that the primary monitor could run much higher resolutions and refresh rates than the secondary. Also, it should be interesting to see how the GMax can edge out the competition with bit rendering. Beta drivers are not supported by Matrox Graphics Technical Support.
G Max is the clear winner for bit rendering at high resolutions. The bit architecture helps in increasing the performance of both 2D and 3D acceleration. This means that it will only playback audio in stereo only, and with reduced audio volume. Also note the jagged patterns in the TNT2 rendered image.
Nothing new here as this option is almost a must for any video card driver. Oh yes, before I forget, you can still set your Windows refresh rate on your primary monitor to Hz while you output your screen image to the TV. I'm not sure whether to blame Quake II or the driver, but I tend to believe that it is the driver's fault.
Anyway, if you want to skip this, you can go directly to The Test section. However, the G Max strength lies in the Rasterizer and Fill Rate tests where it scored a lot higher than the rest. However, contrary to the video mode's name, G does not millenniuk full DVD decoding hardware acceleration.
